Moving Packages in SMS

Hi

How can we move packages within SMS, we would like to organise the packages
in folders, does this have any side effect on the operation of the packages?

SMS2003? It's been a while, but I think you need to right-click on the word
"Packages", not on the individual packages you want to move, in order to get
to the wizard to move packages.

Putting them in console folders won't affect their functioning.

If you mean you want to move the source folders to a different folder name,
then you'd have to change the source & update your DPs. That still wouldn't
affect the functioning (long term), although during the update to the new
version the package wouldn't be available to clients until the the update DPs
was done & clients picked up the new package version availability from the
MPs.
