Hi

I can't use the original software distribution account anymore (for security
reasons). I created a new account and I must change the Component
Configuration / Software Distribution / General account.

Can I just change this account?

I have both, legacy and Advanced clients.

Hi Carlos,

You can go ahead and change the Legacy Client Software Installation account
and the Advanced Client Network Access account if you need to. On the next
polling cycle of the Legacy and Advanced Clients, they will update their
configuration to leverage the new credentials you defined on the site server.
For Advanced Clients, that would be in 60 minutes (default polling
interval). For Legacy Clients, the polling interval is every 25 hours, or
whey you cycle the client service (I believe that is accurate for the Legacy
Client - its been a while..).

Just make sure that whatever rights you granted the accounts is duplicated
so that nothing breaks (such as access to non-DP's during software
installation if required, Client Push, Admin rights on Legacy Clients for
advertised program that requires admin credentials).

Actually the legacy client will update its configuration by default every two
hours. What I stated was if you enabled or disabled a client component.
